18 – The Ritual:

Summer has come on fast and Charles is having nightmares but also acquiring various artifacts and strange pieces of equipment to enact a plan dreamed up long ago. The others in the house work and watch and wait, while newcomers come and go. Ginger powers on through, despite Alex being gone for months.

In the midst of this, two more new arrivals come, ones from somewhere else entirely. This prompts half of the group to dive into Charles’s scheme to seal away the penumbra for good.

But as they work to convince themselves this is possible, there are those with doubts, those with ulterior motives, and those that would rather not admit they are happy with this life as it is…
