11 – The Harridan:

It is 1999. A witch cursed to never age nears her 1000th birthday. A chance encounter with someone that is immune to her powers has her reflect over several important events over her life, all right around each notable year. From Northern Germany, to China, and beyond, what does this man have to do with her past, and can he be a way to undo this curse?

Part fable, part horror story in the unrelentingly driven, unapologetic woman at its centre, and part redemption story as other things blossom, this one looks at how and why someone could be branded an outsider, suffer for it, and become the very thing that was feared.

There’s also another side to this tale that has yet to be written but will appear in The Penumbra someday…
