My love letter to the video stores of the ’80s and ’90s, one of my favourite places to be. Also some D&D and heavy metal (yes, like another spooky show, but in a very different direction).

15 – A/V Magic:

It is 1987 in a small eastern Canadian town. Stores that rent video tapes and game cartridges are becoming more popular. Two employees of one such store, Girgori the tinkerer (or Greggy) and Robert the musician (Robby) encounter increasingly strange and potentially reality-altering events while working durring a hot Canadian summer. Complicated machines, DVDs from the future, hallucinations from beyond, and denizens of the town all combine and intersect in this slice of the penumbra.

This is the last story in Volume 5 and sixth in Book 2.
