1 – The Penumbra: Alexei and Ginger are two older strangers who find themselves trapped as a soldier in World War 1 and as a 1930s style private detective, respectively. However, they remember their own lives from outside these imaginary ones, and as they work through the scenes they find themselves in, they find each other and a connection: An old TV show called The Penumbra.

2 – Shadows Play: A creature in the form of a man sits bound and blindfolded on a stage in an abandoned theatre. His captors have hunted him and now are set on performing a ritual to deal with him for good, but need him to confess to his exploits. He tells them three tales across time and around the world in order for them to judge his crimes, with the outcome being something none of them would expect.

This can be found in Volume 1, as well as Book 1.
